The purpose of Candy Rail is to stop the advancing Candy Train from reaching the end of the track by clearing away all the rolling candy balls. Use your rotating Candy Cannon to shoot candy balls to create rows of 3 or more candy balls in the train with matching colour to clear them away. Use the special candy balls in the train: Tri-balls, Bubble Balls and Ring balls, to generate special combinations that can help you if you use them properly.
You can clear a level by eliminating all the candy balls in a Candy Train. Your challenge is to clear as many levels as you can before time runs out. Each time you manage to clear a Candy Train, you advance to a new level with a different layout of the Candy Train's track. The tracks can have multi-level intersections, teleports and tunnels that make aiming more difficult. Completing as many levels as possible is the key challenge for a good score.
The challenge of Candy Rail is based on 2 factors:
- Speed is important! As quick matching to remove the Candy Trains lets you advance to further levels and increases the score.
- Chain clearings. As the score for a second match with one shot is much higher than the first it really pays off to look for possible chain clearings when you have the time. It may well be smart to actually add balls to the train to be able to trigger a chain matches later. The hammer effect of chain clearings also pushed the train backwards, which gives it additional value.
The trick is therefore to play fast but not always go for the first match you spot, instead try to spot the best parts of the train for a long chain of matches to both save time and increase the score.
