Pyramid Battle is a multiplayer version of the classic Pyramid Solitaire game. You battle against another player in a fight to claim the 3 top cards of the pyramid shaped card layout to collect the Golden Scarabs.
Pyramid Battle is a live online game where you play against your opponent in real time. You will see your opponent\'s cards placed upside down above your own layup, where you share the three top cards. As your opponent clears away his cards you will see him getting closer to the three Scarabs. Both players play at the same time, which makes the game hectic and fun. You will also see the other player\'s Avatar as you play, so you can judge his mood.
The online game is played over 3 rounds, which gives a total of 9 Scarabs to grab. The first player to reach 5 Scarabs is the winner, even if that happens before the end of round 3. If the layup in a round is not cleared, e.g. all 3 scarabs are not claimed, before time runs out or both players run out of possible moves, the round ends right there. That means that all 9 Scarabs might not be claimed before the end of the game. At that point the player that has so far collected the most Scarabs is declared the winner. If it is a tie, the player with the best score wins.
Make sure you analyse how the cards are placed higher up in the pyramid before just removing the first one you see. It\'s not always the lowest placed cards that should be removed first to achieve the longest chain of cleared cards. Maximizing the value for each card in the deck is key to getting far quickly.
The strategy in Pyramid Battle is slightly different from the solo play version of the game. As soon as your opponent has grabbed a Scarab card you should focus all your attention on the remaining Scarab cards, clearing the layup below the now claimed top card is then unnecessary for you. Do not focus too much on what your opponent is doing, but if he is close to grabbing a Scarab card that you have almost reached as well it can be worth using the Wild card to beat him to the Scarab.
Using the Wild card at the right time can be the difference between claiming a Scarab card or not, so do not save it for too long. Remember that you cannot see when your opponent decides to use his Wild Card, but neither can he see your moves.
Speed is the key in the online game, but avoid getting too stressed up about what your opponent is doing, focus on your own game and the Scarabs only.
